Turf and Fairways

This fertilizer is gentle on plants and does not burn even in hot and dry conditions. After application, water in to activate the product for faster breakdown and soil response.

Maintenance: For healthy turf under an existing organic program, apply to dry turf at the rate of 10 lbs. per 1,000 square feet in spring, mid-summer and fall. For maximum performance, water after spreading.

High Application Rate for New Organic Programs & Soil Rejuvenation: Apply 20 to 25 lbs. per 1,000 square feet in early spring and late fall. A mid-summer application of 10 lbs. per 1,000 square feet is also recommended. In extremely poor soil, an initial application up to 35 lbs. per 1,000 square feet may be applied. After application, water to activate product. After two seasons at the high rate, revert to maintenance application rate.

Newly Seeded: Apply 20 lbs. per 1,000 square feet the same day as seeding. Lightly mix into the top inch of soil, if possible. Follow watering schedule for your seed variety. Reapply 10 lbs. per 1,000 square feet after 60 days. Revert to maintenance rate for future applications.

New Sod: Just before laying sod, apply 15 lbs. per 1,000 square feet to bare soil. After laying sod, apply 20 lbs. per 1,000 square feet. Follow recommeded watering schedule for new sod. Reapply after 60 days using 10 lbs. per 1,000 square feet. Revert to maintenance rate for future applications.

Annual and Perennial Flowers

Spread 3 lbs. per 100 square feet and mix into soil when preparing for planting. Apply a surface application at the same rate every 60 days. For perennials, always apply an additional application after blooming to strengthen plants for future seasons.

Roses

Apply 2 lbs. per 100 square feet of bed when first growth is established. Follow with additional applications every four to six weeks. Avoid late fall application to allow plant to harden off for the winter. For individual roses, apply 1/2 cup per plant every 60 days.

Gardens / Vegetables

Mix into soil surface at seeding or transplanting at the rate of 3 lbs. per 100 square feet, or 1 Tbsp. per plant. Reapply every 30 days when fruit is forming. Lightly rake to incorporate into soil surface for best results.

Potted or Container Plants

Repotting: Top dress 8 oz. of fertilizer per 12” of container size. Apply again in 60 days at the Existing Potted Plant rate.

Existing Potted Plants

Top dress 4 oz. of fertilizer per 12” of container size. Reapply every 60 days.

Shrubs and Trees

Established Shrubs: In spring and fall, uniformly spread 6 lbs. per 100 square feet of bed. For individual shrubs, use 1 lb. per plant. For best results, mix into the top inch of soil with a rake and water in.

Transplanting Shrubs or Trees: When transplanting, blend 1/2 cup per foot of plant height into the soil in the bottom of the hole. Mix thoroughly with the soil to avoid direct contact with the roots. Uniformly blend 1/2 cup per foot height with backfill soil before filling hole.
