Feeding Instructions:
A daily ration of 2.5-3.5% of the goat’s bodyweight is expected. Feed forage as needed. Superb Show Goat is not to be used as the sole ration; rather it is the most important part of the ration. Mix 80% Show goat with 20% forage to provide a ration with 20 grams per ton of Monensin.

Feeding kids: Weigh your goat and multiply total weight by 0.01 (1.00%). The number you get is the amount of daily feed on which you should start your goat. For example, if your goat weighs 25 pounds, you will feed 0.25 pounds (4 oz, a quarter of a pound) of feed. Over the next 2 to 3 weeks, gradually increase the feed until you are feeding 2.5-3.5% of the goat’s bodyweight per day.

Feeding grow-finish goats: Daily feed at 2.5-3.5% of bodyweight. For example, on full feed, a 50 pound goat will eat about 1.5-1.75 pounds of feed each day.

For creep feeding: Feed to young kids beginning from one week of age through weaning.

Fitting for show: Feed at 3.5% of bodyweight, the last 60 days prior to the show. If gain is too rapid and a rate of gain adjustment is needed, limit feed up to 75% of the full feed (ad lib) intake.

Fresh water should be available at all times. MFA Gold Star Livestock Mineral may be offered free choice.

CAUTION: Do not allow horses or other equines access to feeds containing Monensin. Ingestion of Monensin by equines has been fatal. Feeding undiluted or mixing errors resulting in high concentrations of Monensin has been fatal in cattle and could be fatal in goats. Monensin medicated feed is safe for use in goats only. Consumption by unapproved species may result in toxic reactions.

LIMITATIONS: Feed continuously. Do not feed to lactating goats. Must be thoroughly mixed in feeds before use. Do not feed undiluted. Do not exceed the level of Monensin recommended in the feeding direction, as reduced average daily gains may result.

CAUTION: USE ONLY AS DIRECTED. FOR RUMINANTS (CATTLE, SHEEP AND GOATS)ONLY.

CAUTION: USE ONLY AS DIRECTED.
